Summary: In The Butterfly Lion there was a boy named  Michael and he went to boarding school and he hated it there was bullies and he had to do rugby and eat semolina pudding but he escaped and ran away and as he was running a old lady said come into my house and lets have some tea then the lady started telling  Michael about a boy called Bertie and he found a white lion but his dad killed the mom white lion but the white lion cub survived and he took the white lion cub to be his friend and pet but then the little white lion cub became a big white lion and it was to big for them to keep so they gave the white lion to this guy from France who worked in a circus and he promised to take good care of the lion. then a few years past and Bertie found a friend called Millie and they have lots of fun together but then Bertie said you now what i want to fight in world war 1 and he did and he saved two peoples lives and got the Victoria Cross and the he found Bertie and the spent some time together and then they saw a billboard poster that had a picture of the WHITE LION that was his pet then they ask a few people in France where  the white lion is and they find him and they get really exited and Bertie and Millie get married the end then the little boy went back to his boarding school and tells every body about the story he heard from the old lady but the people at his school say the lady he was talking to that was telling him the story was dead and died a few years ago.
